We promised we would not use the same naming sequence – “blah from Our 10.11.08” – I did change it up a bit. With the wedding cake being a main focal point of almost every wedding reception, including ours, it only fit to use “Our 10.11.08” for this writing as well!

The incident that occurred involving Josh & I, our photographers Rick & Maria, and our wedding cake still is something we talk about and share with guests at our wedding as well as just a story we like to share because now looking back it was a funny happening and something we both felt should hold a writing of it’s own here at Inside Our Shell.

Okay okay, we realize that we’ve probably overused the “blah from Our 10.11.08” naming convention just a bit over the last few days and we promise this will be the last post following this theme. Well, we think it will be the last, guess we really don’t know.

When we first meet with Pastor Dave we were told that we would need to write a few words regarding each other for the wedding. Not entirely sure how these writings would be used we did what made the most sense at the time – put them off until later. While most of the music played during our reception was selected by our DJ ((Kal – what a great “good news / bad news” guy…)), there were a few special songs played throughout the day that were either hand selected by Megan and I or selected for us by our parents. Since we don’t have the opportunity to talk about this often, I wanted to share these music selections with everyone.

October 11th, 2008 – Our 101108 – was the day that Megan Renninger and Josh Cook became Mr. & Mrs. Joshua and Megan Cook. After almost two years of planning the day finally arrived! Strangely enough, that day was one month ago tomorrow and it seems a distant memory already. This is probably because the day itself seemed like a blur and ended almost as quickly as it started.

I must say goodbye to you Caramel Bar – you gooey caramelly, chocolately sorta-sticky mess. Not because I dislike you or don’t want to enjoy your deliciousness again, more so because I just ate the last piece of you. I bid you farewell on your journey as I digest you. Yum.

I so can’t wait until one of your relatives come and visit, cause I’ll eat them too…
