My two children are so used to routine that anything but screws with them.
Took the kids for a walk tonight so they didn’t watch their tv show before bed…Took Coop right up and got him ready for bed and he will not go to sleep…hes still up crying in his room.
We’ve tried everything..and nothing suits. Even got him out of his crib so he could show us what it was he needed/wanted..he got his shoes so he now has his shoes on.
I guess while routine is good, sometimes it backfires.

My dog has been chasing a fly around the house for the past two hours. If I didn’t know she was chasing a fly I would seriously think she was going nuts….She is twitchy and jumpy.

Sometimes it is the smallest things that make a huge difference. Ella has been having “Quiet Time” everyday. She ends up laying on the floor and falls asleep…but may play with toys quietly in her room if she wishes.
I’ve come to notice that her small blankets she has used since being a baby have come to be too small and she can’t bundle up under them. Last night I gave her one of my blankets that I cuddle under on the couch. She loved sleeping under it. Today I found the quilt we purchased for her bed but hasn’t used yet. I put it on her bed and at “Quiet Time” she jumped right up on her bed, got under the covers and went to sleep!!!!

My two sidekicks and I just returned from a nice walk! I taught them well…everytime a car passed us we would stop and wait for the car to pass!
What a nice neighborhood too..every car that passed waved to us, even the garbage men!!!

Arrived home from Momom and PoPops & they requested to stay in the van to watch Curious George!

Highlight of my day: swimming in freezing ice cold water in our new deck pool with my Princess!!!
While cold, it is a memory I will always cherish!
