Wallykazam is a children's show on Nick Jr. my children love this show. At the end of the one episode Ogur Doug is singing a song about his Flitterflug (his pet bug)... We teased Cooper the first time we saw this episode about him being the Flitterflug Bug. At the end of the song Ogur Doug says that the Flitterflug ...really really really loves to hug.
The kids were partially watching the show after their naps and the end scene came on and I called to Coop (as he usually runs over and hugs me).....today he said "no hugs from Cooper" and went back to playing with his sister.
I had to settle for a hug from Ebony. She was very willing. :-)

Children have been napping for 2 hours. I'm hoping that naps have done them wonders and when I go for them they are happy little people! It's been a heck of a day. Out of control behavior with no listening skills. My car keys, wallet and phone even managed to get locked in my car due to one of the children not listening and crawling to the front of the car when asked not to.

I've been working really hard at helping Cooper learn to dress himself. This kid could care less.
Everyday I start by laying his underwear, shorts and shirt out on the floor. I have taught him that the tag or printed tag info on his underwear and shirts are the part of the clothing that is touching the carpet. His shirt is the opposite, meaning whatever part of his shirt that goes on the front of his body is the part of the shirt that touches the carpet.
He attempts each day to lay the clothing out correctly but always gets at least one piece wrong. He could care less and I kinda feel like letting him go dressed to school however he manages to get himself dressed to see how he makes out! He'll get it eventually, till then I'll sit and encourage him as he figures out front from back and tries to out both his legs through one hole.
Love my monkey!

Children both had a great school day!
Cooper had no tears today and when I picked him up he was happy and so very excited to see me. Mrs. Amoroso said she did an alphabet puzzle with Coop and remarked at how good he knows his alphabet. He made a craft of himself & talked this afternoon about his friends Sammy and Franky.
Ella had a full day! In the morning she had a great prek class which included some computer time!!! In the afternoon she made a sensory bag filled with ocean animals and have x rays to animals! She even came home with an x ray of a leg and a pet vet checklist so she can continue to give checkups to her animals here at home. Her teacher says she's doing very well and is a big love bug to which her teacher from last year nodded her head and agreed!!
So glad they are enjoying school!!!
