Last night Josh and I were hanging out in our family room after the children were in bed. I smelled an odor that smelled like skunk. I asked Josh if smelled something... he replied: like food, something that smells like food.
Within seconds after him saying that and me saying no more like a skunk, the dog jumps down off the chair and goes crazy - she sensed the skunk too.
There was a skunk on or under our deck last night, it stunk. It stunk so bad that we retreated to our bedroom and watched tv from there for the rest of the evening.
I'm a bit concerned to know Josh thinks the odor a skunk makes smells like food though.

Just want to let all the wine lovers know that February 18th is "Drink Wine Day"
A few friends I know will join me in having a glass on Wednesday....

Why do I take the time to separate recyclables from trash only to have one truck come and dump it all into one big load??
Is it because it's cold or because it's Presidents Day???
I'm sure the current President and past support recycling. And I froze my rear off making sure they go into the correct bin each time.
Not so sure I appreciate the lack of dedication by our trash company.

Cold, cold cold. 7 degrees with the wind chill -20 degrees with winds 50-60 mph.
