We only went to sleep a few hours ago (4am) so being up and alert in order to return “Baby Girl #2” was a little hard on us both, but we did it!

One would think that a $90,000 car would be of some importance to the rental dealership we rented the car from. Well, we arrive at Benzo around 12:15 and there is no one to be found. All the doors are locked, lights off, and no cars in the parking lot. We make our first call – voicemail. We wait around for a bit, and then decided to try and call again – voicemail. We get back in to “Baby Girl #2” and since neither of us has eaten we decided to go find somewhere to eat. Driving we were both a little annoyed that our last official day in Vegas we were stuck, literally stuck with a Mercedes, how funny! Making one final call, leaving one final message, we let Benzo know that we have the car and have tried to return the car and that no one is at the office, that we are returning to Mandalay Bay and will park the car in Valet. To please be in touch.

We return to Mandalay Bay, say Good Bye to “Baby Girl #2” – no Josh didn’t cry, and go in the hotel to find something to eat. Here we go again, what to eat…. burger=no, mexican=no, starbucks=no… see nothing just quick and easy. We decided to try a place called Red, White, and Blue… they had all sorts of sandwiches, wraps, salads etc on the menu.. this will work. We were seated in the outside (yet really inside) area of the restaurant by a pool/fountain area, nice right?! Would be, however, while looking over the menu Megan’s chair got ran into twice and Josh got stared at. Yes, children, at least 15 of them all hovering around the pool/fountain area. Running, yelling, staring, and invading our space while we are trying to enjoy a lunch together. Nothing against children, we love them, but if you have children please don’t bring them into a hotel/casino and leave them alone, it isn’t fair to the rest of us. We moved our table and enjoyed our lunch, it was good!

Realizing we haven’t really followed through with that many shots in honor of Matt we decided that we would take this last afternoon and return to some of the casinos, starting with Paris and have a drink in honor of Matt. Shots of Tequila would just not be a good idea, too many casinos – Bellagio, Aladdin, Monte Carlo, NY NY, MGM, Hooters, Tropicana, Excalibur, Luxor and finally Mandalay Bay. Realizing after the fact that we probably should have stuck with the shots of tequila because all those mixed drinks probably had more alcohol in them then a single shot. It was fun and well worth it! We had a fabulous time drinking all those drinks in honor of you Matt!

Since it was later than we had thought it was and we were both famished from all the drinking, we head to a restaurant that neither of us thought looked that great while sober. Rum Jungle was the name of the restaurant and all we can really say about this place is unique. Again we opened our menus and just kinda stared… not knowing what to get or what we wanted. Our waiter, Joey, was a real help and suggested that we partake in a “Feast” so we did just that! Our table was filled with all sorts of meats, veggies, salads, not to mention drinks. Joey really took care of us. He brought us “free stuff” as he called it non stop through the entire dinner. Not a moment went by that we weren’t preparing our mouths for another surprise from Joey! We had an incredible evening – what a great way to spend our last night in Vegas!

Making our way back to the 30th floor, damn why’d we have to be on the 30th floor it takes forever to get there – we literally passed out!

I believe your vacation was terrific because you were together…… it didn’t really matter what happened around you, because you had a good time together. Try packing a lunch next time! It seemed that all your problems revolved around food, which is a pretty important thing in my book. And Megan….next time it’s Saurbraten or better yet Goulash! And remember…. The “Stars”, all seven of them, work at the buffets or resturants…try the card, may even be free! 🙂
