The children have been enjoying their Halloween candy after their naps. They are each allowed one piece. Today Cooper chose a bag of Goldfish and Ella a bag of Skittles. Ella was eyeing up the Goldfish and said how she would really like some (she didn't have any in her Halloween loot) I explained that if Coop was interested in a few Skittles they could share their bags and each have alittle of both.
They went for it!!!! Yippee a successful Mommy suggestion that worked out and didn't end it fighting!!!

Why is it that once I make myself a slice of pb toast, have everything cleaned up and sit down to eat it my children insist upon sharing it with me and then want their own piece.
They already had their breakfast. What makes their minds think "mmmmmm that looks good." One simple answer it is my food, my breakfast. That is why they want it. I make them their own and usually over half of it I end up throwing out or finishing it so it doesn't go to waste.
As I write this Cooper comes asking for toast. Yes this will be the third time I get the pb out of the cabinet, the 3rd knife, & paper towel.
Yep, I'll miss this when they are grabbing breakfast on the go in a few years or fighting me as they don't want to eat!

My children are loud, I mean very loud. They scare our dog Ebony. I told them they are scaring her and Ella runs into their playroom to find her and sits with her petting her so slowly. I look over to see Ella calmly and quietly motioning for Ebony to come into the Family Room. It is adorable.
They are now both whispering and sitting with Ebony.
Hmmmmmmm can I use this in my favor?

I know my son is smart, I do. But right now he's sitting next to me dropping his juice cup on his head and then saying ouch. :/
I think he's tired....no nap today with window work.
