The last few months have been rather busy here in the Cook household as we prepare for Baby Lima’s arrival. In addition to getting all those little things done that we’ve been meaning to do completed ((Organizing the garage, moving the ‘office’ upstairs, rearranging our bedroom, moving the computer equipment to the new office, etc, etc, etc)) we also spent a ton of time getting her room together. So, without further ado, I present Baby Lima’s Room!

Anyone who was a child or has children or grandchildren has to be familiar with the word “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”. The old time favorite of Mary Poppins singing that song along with many other catchy tunes puts me back in the years of being a young girl growing up watching Mary Poppins along with many other musicals. This past February my parents took Josh and I to New York for the day to see Mary Poppins. While we all wanted to see this show, there was also a hidden agenda of Baby Lima hearing all the tunes ((for as doctors have come to learn, babies can hear from w/in the womb)).
This year our Christmas holiday was a bit more laid back then years in the past. With Megan being preggers and the possibility of a ton of snow on the ground, we decided to spend Christmas Day with my parents and Christmas Eve with Megan’s parents. Not only did this remove the rushing around, it also allowed us to spend more quality time with each family.
Since we decided to keep little Baby Lima’s creation a secret from everyone until our mutual family Thanksgiving Dinner on October 31st, 2009, I decided to keep a little journal documenting Baby Lima’s history so far.
Without further adue, we’d like to introduce the newest member of our family!
Recently Sarah and Samuel visited us from Texas spending the night with us and the four pups ((we were dog sitting Dora and Kenzie for the month of July)). During their visit Megan and I had the ability to play with Samuel and his small animal toys. It’s truly amazing how someone so young can know so much!
Literally. Josh and I were asked to go camping with my brother and my parents the last weekend in June. Both of us camped in our childhood, but in our adult lives we hadn’t and we needed to purchase a tent. Josh did all the research checking out each tent to make sure we wouldn’t get leaked on etc. And he found what became known as the tank of all tents. Really, the Versa could park inside it!
