Last night Ella had her first nightmare. Josh and I heard her over her monitor yelling something over and over that neither of us could make out. Josh went into her bedroom and found her sleeping but yelling out a phrase.
He woke her and sang her a few songs to settle her back into a good sleep…..She is still sleeping!

Ella just told me that when she gets her cast off she wants to get me flowers!!! How sweet 🙂

This week will be our first Sunday back to church since Ella broke her leg. Im praying she manages ok with the other children. She’s resilient so I’m sure she will be ok, but as a Mother I worry that she will feel like she is different than the rest and can’t keep up. Our church has a great group of volunteers working with our youngin’s so I’m sure she will be just fine.

Reward Charts begin today! Hope these work. Ella has two jobs and Coop has one.
We also made Ella a countdown calendar for how many days she has until her pink friend departs! 16 days!!!

I asked Ella and Coop if I could take their picture for Daddy..They both ran away.
I then transformed myself into Elmo, holding him and having him take the picture and waalaaa smiles and cooperation!

Feeling sad for my Ella… We were talking about friends and she mentioned her friends Lauren and Ryan who live next to my parents. She said she doesn’t want to see them the next time we are at my parents house. I asked her why and she slapped her cast. I told her that she can still see them with her cast…She said she wouldn’t be able to walk the steps at their house. I said that friends help each other and that Lauren and Ryan would help her and make sure she got up and down the stairs.
I felt my eyes instantly fill with tears. She has been a real trooper through this entire cast ordeal ….I don’t forget she’s a child and has her down moments, but she’s been so positive and has had a go with the flow attitude about the whole thing that it punched me in the gut hearing her so sad about her friends and not wanting to see them.
