This year our Christmas holiday was a bit more laid back then years in the past. With Megan being preggers and the possibility of a ton of snow on the ground, we decided to spend Christmas Day with my parents and Christmas Eve with Megan’s parents. Not only did this remove the rushing around, it also allowed us to spend more quality time with each family.
It is always said that we should look out for our earth and help save trees, recycle and to never litter. While Josh and I agree with these ways, we had a situation earlier this week that really surprised us!
After Josh and I got over the initial amazement and delight of being pregnant ((not that those feelings ever go away)) and met with our obstetrician, we decided to have what is known as the 1st Trimester Screening. This is a test that helps determine the risk for specific chromosomal abnormalities, including Down’s Syndrome Trisomy-21, Trisomy-18 and spina bifida.
Here we are only days away from Christmas and here we are again feeling like Christmas shouldn’t be right around the corner. Two years ago we traveled to Africa and Rome over the Thanksgiving Holiday returning to the busy holiday season and this year we did the same! This time however we were on a bit more of a relaxing vacation – The Jewel Of The Seas.
Since we decided to keep little Baby Lima’s creation a secret from everyone until our mutual family Thanksgiving Dinner on October 31st, 2009, I decided to keep a little journal documenting Baby Lima’s history so far.
Without further adue, we’d like to introduce the newest member of our family!
For those of you who do not know this, I’ve been working from home for a little over the last two years. No morning rush-hour traffic, no evening rush-hour traffic – no traffic at all. It was magical. Well, I guess some good things must come to an end and so on October 15th, 2009 Help Now received keys for our new corporate office.
Yay traffic.
