Mountain Music

2

Growing up I attended many weddings on my Mom’s side of the family. Each wedding my Mom’s cousin, Uncle Jack, ((as I grew up calling him)) would always do a special dance with the bride. It did not matter who was being married, whether it be one of his son’s, one of his nieces or nephews, or even now one of his grandchildren, he danced this special dance with each of the brides. This became a family tradition which I hoped I would be able to enjoy at my wedding, and I did!!!

Our Eagles Have Landed..

2

Once again we set ourselves up for a let down. Yesterday the Eagles faced off against the Arizona Cardinals. Tuning into the game we had our heads held high, I mean after all we played the 1st ranked team last week and won, so we shouldn’t have a problem getting past the Cardinals. As you probably already have guessed or know, we did have a problem and once again our heads are drooped and we have to sit through another Superbowl as spectators choosing between the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Arizona Cardinals – who would you choose?

One Month, Twenty-One Days

3

Ok, ok, ok…. I know that both Josh and I have been really horrible about writing posts lately. While we have much to write about and have been trying really hard to keep a list of things we want to write about, we just have not had the time to devote to writing a well written post. Why? Well in one month and twenty-one days we are being married! We are both overly excited for this day to come and have been planning and preparing, organizing and meeting, and even trying to learn to dance! While not overly successful with the dancing, getting ready for our 101108 has been a lot of work and we hope you can forgive us and understand why no new posts or pictures have been added. We’ll be back, we promise, and if we have some time prior to October 11th, we will make sure to write something, if not we’ll be back and be happily married! 🙂

The Jello Shot Incident of 2008

5

This year my parents decided to have a 5th of July party at their newly established house – the big house. While their have been a few parties at my parents house in the past, this was the first since they had moved back in ((that’s a completely different story – a long one at that)).

While my Mom didn’t really want us to bring anything except for picking up some beer on the way, we decided it would be fun to make and bring Jello finger shots. We should have just stuck with the beer…

Ka-sim-E 2008

1

If Walt Disney World was in Camden, why would anyone pay to see rats running around scaring little kids? Luckily, Mr. Disney was smart enough to choose Kissimmee for the location of his magical Disney World and we decided to visit him for an extended weekend vacation!

BTW – We didn’t see any rats. For that matter, we didn’t see any mice with big ears either…

Commerce … What?

4

After much contemplation, Josh and I have decided the time has come to part ways with Commerce Bank. While this may come as a shock to some of you, it really came as a shock to me. Josh, the silent spokesperson for Commerce, leaving the bank he stood behind and promoted to many, how can this be? Not to mention that Commerce Bank became known as Commerce Cook because I swear he was in love with this bank, maybe more than he loves me, is that possible?

What a sad revelation this has brought to me today, soon, very soon, there will be no more Commerce Cook! But on a happier side of things, soon, very soon, there will be a Megan Cook!
